Appraisal Committee Expert Opinion

July 24th, 2016, Bureau of Comprehensive Development of Ministry of Water Resources hosted a new product appraisal meeting in Weinan, Shanxi. The new product - SWS-k brushless doubly-fed AC motor and intelligent speed control system is researched and developed by Guangdong Sheung Shui Energy Technology Ltd. and others. Appraisal Committee (list attached) listened to the development, testing and use reports, reviewed the appraisal information and field tripped to the operation of the product. After questioning and discussing, the expert opinions are as follows:

The information provided is complete, standardized and it consists with “New Product Appraisal Management Measurement of Ministry of Water Recourses” requirements.
The product is a breakthrough of high voltage AC motor speed controlling technology, with innovative ideas and reasonable structure, it solved the brushless problem of doubly-fed motors. It also realizes the control of high power high voltage by a low voltage small capacity inverter. The innovative points: developed 300kW, 400kW commercial brushless doubly-fed motor and flexible operating control system with redundant brushless doubly-fed motors. With all these, the system can be switched disturbance freely, with stable operation and high reliability.
The product has been successfully operated at Zuojia pump station (Chouwei irrigation area, Jiaokou, Shanxi) and Xixi pump station (Chouhuang irrigation area). The motor can be regulated at stepless speed, with stable operation, it solved the flow regulation problem of pump units in the station, with a significant energy saving result.
The research and development company has complete production equipment, the company also constituted the standards of the production. With a number of invention patents gained, as well as excellent quality assurance system and testing methods, the company meets the conditions of mass production.
The product is international advanced, it can be used widely in medium and large pumping stations, power plants and fans, and it with a broad application prospect.
In summary, the appraisal committee agreed that the product pass the appraisal unanimously.
It recommends that the R & D company to optimize the performance of the product, improve the product line to meet market demands.
